It always took tons of time, and the trick is definitely nerfed. Why not share with us your uber-secret method?

I think there still might be a way although it would indeed take a ton of time.
You could enter the academy mission, hope for high level human opponents, kill them, and then quit. You can also time your entry with your high level buddies, and you might go face to face with them.

Just an idea, never tried it before.

That would indeed work. Good idea.

So if you quit in that mission you will definitely go back to PS, or is there a chance that you will go through anyway?

I'm not sure that would work. I got err=7'd once during the fight and when I logged back in I was in Ascalon City, Post Sear.

I just tested it and it doesn't work.

You leave Ascalon for the war prep and play in the timed PVP fight, if you quit in the middle of it, when you log back in it automatically slots you into the next PvE area in the academy, which leads to Searing. There is no way to get back to PS from there that I can see.

That's definitely a change. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't know, its seems weird, I remember I once left the academy mission and nothing changed. Can't you use the 'map' function? I'll try this myself and I'll let you know.

Ouch. If your story is true (and that sounds like an internet rumor) then ArenaNet has some serious issues.

The guild hall exploit was definitely real, there were dozens of threads on this forum about it once they fixed it. Runes, max level gold and green weapons, etc - all were "imported" to presearing.

Occasionally you will still see an ad from someone selling them, at exorbitantly high figures.

If someone sells an "imported" weapon in pre-searing for lots of money...who would have that kind of money in pre? Would you just have to trust that the person gives you the items after you give them the money on another character or vice-versa?

I know it was real. I'm just somewhat suprised that ArenaNet made someone delete a character for it.

Now. since it has been "fixed." you can go to lv 16 killing the char bosses. but if you save all your quest you may go up to 17 or somwhere around there

No you can't. The clickies don't show up once you enter the PvP battle.

Here is an idea. The key question is: Do you get XP for killing hostile minions?

If yes, then you could party with a necromancer. He uses Animate Bone Horror to build a minion army. With 12 Death Magic his Bone Horrors will be level 14, which is higher than any foe in pre-searing. Now, if he manages to suicide somehow, all his minions turn hostile, and the other party member can kill the minions for the XP. Or, if he suicides near a rez shrine the necro may even kill his own minions, so he can do this all solo.

Did I miss something? Any reason why this wouldn't work?

Just tested this, and the answer, unfortunately is no. Hostile minions do not give you XP.

I doubt lvl 20 is possible now. If it is then it's probably gonna take a hell of a long time. Anyway, the best I've seen is Jack The Undeadking at lvl 15

Ive seen a 15 as well . Lvl 20 though I think is not possible because certain enemies once youre a high lvl would not give any experience.
